Scope and Contents

This collection documents life in various DP camps in Germany and Austria and includes correspondence, reports, ephemera, educational materials, printed documents, and 25 oversize event posters and death notices. The materials from Austria include documentation from the DP camps in Innsbruck, Landeck, and Salzburg, as well as bulletins of the Ukrainian Relief Association in Austria.

The collection also contains a small quantity of materials related to post-DP camp repatriation and resettlement.

This collection was synthetically assembled in the 90s by Iu. Navrots'kyi and Sv. Andrushkiv and contained materials on different DP camps with different provenances.

In 2026, the collection was separated into different collections/resources based on either provenance (if known) or DP camp. The remaining materials in this collection include oversize materials, miscellaneous, repatriation materials, and collections on the DP camps in Austria.
