Dnipropetrovs’k oblast’ collectivization records

 Collection
Identifier: 015

Scope and Contents

This collection contains materials documenting the activity of administrative and Communist Party authorities from the Kamians’kyi, Krynychans’kyi, Solomians’kyi, and Vasyl’kivs’kyi regions of the Dnipropetrovs’k oblast. The majority of the documents refer to the government institutions of the Krynychans’kyi region. They document the forced collectivization of Ukrainian farms in the eastern oblasts of Ukraine, showing the harsh realities of the social and economic upheavals which resulted in the Great Famine of 1933. The documents are divided into original documents and typed or handwritten copies. A good number have official government stamps.
