Collection on Andrii Sheptyts’kyi
Scope and Contents
This collection primarily contains 5x7 black and white photographs of archival documents from an unknown repository (or repositories). These include correspondence, telegrams, newspaper clippings, and similar materials, all related to the life and activity of the Greek Catholic Metropolitan Andrii Sheptyts'kyi, including his nominations as bishop of eparchies in what is now western Ukraine and efforts to obtain his release from exile in the Russian Empire during World War I. It also contains a bibliography of his writings, photographs, and ephemera, programs, and brochures of events dedicated to his memory. Also included is a typescript of an anthology of poems about Sheptyts'kyi assembed by Rev. Michael Hrynchyshyn of Yorkton, Sask.
