The collection documents the personal, academic, and professional life of Dr. Peter Hrycak, spanning his career as an engineer and faculty member at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Materials reflect both his scholarly contributions to engineering and his engagement with the Ukrainian émigré community.

Professional and research materials comprise a substantial portion of the collection and include engineering journal articles, technical writings, conference presentations, technical drawings, copies of engineering notes, grant materials, and a PhD thesis. Also present are theses by students, course materials, abstracts of papers from the World Congress of Free Ukrainian Science, and materials related to the Ukrainian People's Union publication. Personal materials include correspondence, family and household documents, and financial records.

The collection also contains ephemera, newspaper clippings, photographs, realia, writings and materials related to Przemyśl.
