Scope and Contents

This collection documents the administration and daily life of the Mittenwald displaced persons camps after WWII. Materials include reports produced by the camp administration; photographs of sports activities in the camp, and documents of Bohdan Stupnyts'kyi; photographs and correspondence of Ievhen Stets'kiv; photographs of Rev. Ivan Buchko visiting Mittenwald. Audiovisual materials consist of a 75-minute VHS recording titled Memories from Mittenwald, 1946–1949 (1994), co-produced by Dr. Y. Duzey and executive produced by Dr. O. Wynnyckyj, accompanied by a script. Printed materials include camp publications such as Abroad: One Year's Work of the Camp of Ukrainian Emigrants (D.P.s) at Mittenwald (1947) and Exhibition of the Productions for the First Year of the Camp (1947).
