Sviatoslav Karavanskyi and Nina Strokata papers

This collection is dedicated to the Karavansky/Strokata family, with personal and family materials such as photographs and albums, obituaries, financial documents, and more. A significant portion of the collection is composed of Karavansky’s Ukrainian dictionary materials, including his writings, drafts and edits, research notes, and a copy of “Thesis of the Scientific Conference on the Problem of Modern Ukrainian Spelling and Terminology.” Writings by Karavansky also include articles, addresses and radio scripts. Additionally, there are his correspondence with individuals and organizations, largely editors. Printed materials by others include books, many with inscriptions, magazines, pamphlets, journal and newspaper clippings, and maps of Ukraine. Lastly, there are materials related to the case of J. Demianiuk.
