This collection contains the personal and scholarly papers of Iaroslav Padokh, as well as records connected to his activities with the Shevchenko Scientific Society and other Ukrainian organizations. It contains correspondence, speeches, writings and manuscripts, notes, official documents (e.g. certificate of naturalization), estate documents and legal records, conference records, syllabi, bibliographies, photographs, newsletters, materials related to the Stryi region of Ukraine, records related to church affairs, greeting cards, and ephemera.

Organizational materials include correspondence, news releases, financial reports, materials related to the 30th anniversary of the Shevchenko society in America, the 110 anniversary of the Society, Society announcements and invitations, records related to the Entsyklopediia Ukrainoznavstva, organizational bylaws, material related to the Ukrainian Free University, and an index card file of a membership list (not clear of what organization).

There are also records related to the Plast Ukrainian scouting organization, particularly the "Chervona Kalyna" fraternity. It also contains some third-party materials, including a manuscript by Mykola Chubatyi, and substantial amounts of clippings and published periodicals.
