Zinovii Khraplyvyi papers
Scope and Contents
The collection contains correspondence with individuals and organizations, reprints of Khraplyvyi’s articles and abstracts and a photocopy of his published autobiographical note. Personal materials include certificates, diplomas, identification cards, a typescript of an autobiography, his CV, press clippings, and photocopies of photographs.

Biographical / Historical
Zinovii Khraplyvyi (also known as Zeno V. Chraplyvy), physical scientist, professor, and full member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society was born March 15, 1904 in the Western Ukrainian village Lysivtsi. From 1939 to 1941 he was a professor of L’viv University and from 1945 to 1947 he was a professor and head of the physics department in the UNRRA University established in Munich by DP professors and students. Khraplyvyi came to the United States in 1948, where he became a professor of the Saint Louis University. Zivonii Khraplyvyi died October 1, 1983.
