Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection documents the life, work, and research of Osyp Kravcheniuk. Personal materials include Kravcheniuk’s IDs, certificates, CVs, photographs, educational and teaching materials, card catalogs, and correspondence with individuals and organizations. A significant portion of the collection is dedicated to Kravcheniuk’s research and writings, including writings related to Ukrainian regional studies, as well as Ukrainian immigration to the United States. There are also writings, notes, clippings, and research materials related to Ol'ha Kobylians'ka, Bohdan Lepkyi, Olena Pchilka, Rafalovych, Metropolitan A. Sheptyts’kyi, Ternopil’ Gymnazium, and the Ukrainian Church in America. Notably, the collection contains materials related to the scholar Vatroslav Jagić, including writings and letters to Jagić, as well as ephemera related to Olga Schpur, such as a scrapbook with biographical materials, clippings, and event invitations. Finally, the collection contains materials on various organizations, such as the Ukrainian Fraternal Association (UBS), the Shevchenko Society, the Ukrainian National Association, and more.
