Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence, individual as well as with organizations; professional writings on agriculture topics and articles for Entsyklopedia Ukrainoznatvstva as well as presentations of Oleksander Arkhimovych. The collection also includes Arkhimovych’s documents and biographical materials such as IDs, diplomas, certificates and autobiography.

The collection includes many works and research materials on agricultural topics, on the history of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts and Sciences (UVAN), memoirs on Spain dated 1948-1952. There are also presentations, lectures, and reviews. Oleksander Arhimovych’s writings were composed in different languages over the course of several decades. The collection contains manuscripts, typescripts and printed versions of Arkhimovych’s work. There is also an extensive biographical and bibliographical data as well as personal documents which date back to 1879. In the last series, there are manuscripts and printed versions off writings by other fellow scholars, many with the authors’ inscriptions. The collection contains 3 photographs of Arkhimovych and his wife Kira. It also contains some of Kira's documents and writings.
