Picture album dedicated to B.Lepkyi, author of the Mazepa trilogy, 1932 - 1932
Scope and Contents
This collection is composed of the personal documents and works of the Lepkyi family, including Bohdan Lepkyi, Volodymyr Lepkyi, Natalia Maria Lepkyi-Danylevych, Lev Rostyslav Lepkyi, Rev. Sylvester Lepkyi (pseudonym Marko Murava), and Rev. Mykola Lepkyi (brother of Rev. Sylvester Lepkyi). Also includes the family coat of arms and genealogical information. However, the majority of the collection is dedicated to Bohdan Lepkyi. Personal materials include notes, telegrams and correspondence, receipts, photographs, sketches, and ephemera, such as memberships and funeral materials. Professional materials include Lepkyi’s poetry, prose, dramas, manuscripts, drawings, paintings, lectures and memoirs on Ukrainian writers, videotapes of conferences and presentations. Also included is a partial autobiography and notes from his time spent in a prisoner of war camp in Germany. Notably, many of Lepkyi’s works found in the collection were copied from his manuscripts by Roman Smyk. Additionally, there are works and letters to B. Lepkyi from the manuscript of R.Smyk, as well as books, clippings, works about B. Lepkyi. It also includes artworks owned by Lepkyi and personal items, such as typewriters.
