The collection documents Vasyl' Lev's personal life and involvement in Ukrainian émigré scholarly and civic organizations. A large portion of the collection covers Lev's activities with the Shevchenko Scientific Society (NTSh-A), comprising membership records, lecture and conference materials, and records of the Society's Centennial and its Canadian branch. The collection includes documents and correspondence, as well as materials documenting Lev's participation in Ukrainian educational and civic institutions, including the Ukrainian Free University (UVU), the Ukrainian Section of the AATSEEL, the World Congress of Free Ukrainians, the Ukrainian Catholic University in Rome, and the Educational Council (Shkil'na Rada) of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UKKA). Also present are Lev's writings, writings by others, along with collected materials such as ephemera, newspaper clippings, postcards by Ukrainian artists, and subject files.
