Scope and Contents
The collection comprises a significant amount of correspondence of both private and business nature, along with numerous personal documents such as school and university records. Additionally, it includes documents related to Romaniuk's business ventures in Lviv. Romaniuk engaged in extensive correspondence with various organizations, primarily Ukrainian publishing houses such as the Mykola Denysiuk Publishing House, located in the USA, Canada, and Germany, as well as with some libraries and bookstores. Furthermore, Romaniuk maintained correspondence with German organizations over many years. Prior to the war, he was an entrepreneur in Lviv and suffered significant losses due to the conflict. His correspondence with German organizations aimed at seeking financial restitution for his possessions in Lviv. Notably, Romaniuk had a longstanding correspondence with the Shevchenko Scientific Society, both in New York and Sarcelles. In the 1970s, he made a significant contribution of $15,000.00 to the Shevchenko Scientific Society.
